Maine: Day 4
This morning we left the Pioneer Motel and had a wonderful breakfast at a diner called Moody's which has been there since 1927. Anson was pleased that they had excellent corned beef hash, one of his favorites. Most of our day was spent driving up to Mount Desert Island, which we have learned the correct local pronunciation is "Moun-deser-Island". The day was wonderfully sunny so we drove around to some various beaches to take photos before heading up to Cadillac Mt. to watch the sunset.
Someone's castle. We turned around in their driveway thinking it was a road. :)
Tonight we are staying in a cabin just outside of town. One thing we have learned on this trip is that things in Maine around the tourist areas are ridiculously expensive when it is in season, but thankfully we were able to find a nice little place, we just had to drive far enough.
