Book of Secrets - Watercolor Painting
"Secrets. Some of us lock them away for good, others return to them for comfort."
I created the original line work for this piece last fall for the Month of Fear challenge. I wanted to explore a quiet place, not necessarily frightening or scary. I've been exploring many connected ideas revolving around the jungle themes I've been writing about jumped at the opportunity to pull this piece back out and paint it.
As with all of my paintings, I always create a rough color study with the linework before I put paint to paper. This piece was no different.
