I love rediscovering old photos long forgotten. So I’ve decided to try something new. Every Friday is going to be “Flashback Fridays”… cheesy I know but hey, I can call it whatever I want. The point is to share with you photos from my past and the stories along with them.
And so without further ado here is my first “Flashback” photo: Rocky Coast. If you recognize it that is because it is now a print in my print shop.
“Rocky Coast” | Scotland, 2006
Gruinard Bay is gorgeous.

My family and I were returning from Indonesia to the US. A portion of our trip included driving around Scotland. The night before we had stayed in a little cottage in the quaint town of Badacharo, a fishing village. I remember the locals had quite the story to tell about a submarine pulling into their little bay.
We left early and so the day was spent wandering the Scottish countryside. Heading north we came across Gruinard Bay. At the top of a rise, just before the road turned, we stopped at a pullout and this was the view. Breathtaking and beautiful. I was so excited when I found this exact spot on google maps. Here, take a look. The lory truck is a little in the way but now you know where to find it.

Wow! My first thought was you must have been in a helicopter to get that shot. I haven’t been to Scotland since the summer after second grade, but I remember it being really pretty.
